Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced RN in Labor and Delivery!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic healthcare team during Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers are welcome!
- Epic experience is a must.
- Schedule includes:
- 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights).
- Mandatory on-call duty twice a month in addition to scheduled shifts.
- Potential to float to Perinatal if required.
- May be placed on call if RN not needed for scheduled shift.

Unit Details:


- 4 Triage, 11 Labor & Delivery Rooms (LDR), 2 Operating Rooms (OR), NICU, & Post-Partum.
- Collaborative environment with 24 OB hospitalists & OB anesthesia.
- Care for a diverse patient population: Neonates, Adolescents, & Adults.

Required Skills:


- Proficient in External Fetal Monitoring.
- Able to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Experience circulating for C-sections.

Certifications Needed:


- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Advanced

Important Notes:


- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
- No RTO allowed during the first two weeks of assignment.
- Maximum of 3 days of RTO allowed.
- Must work most holidays.

Submission Requirements:


- Active California license is required at submission.
- References must be provided.
- All required certifications must be included with submission.
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate.

Pre-Start Requirements:


- Advanced EKG exam required: 80% minimum passing score, with two attempts permitted.
- Onsite exam consists of 20 questions, including 17 rhythm strips and 3 general questions (45-minute time limit).
- Failure to pass results in assignment cancellation.

Facility Requirements:


- Smoke/Nicotine-Free Facility: Arrive free of tobacco odor.
