Litigation Paralegal

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Employment Type: Direct Hire A growing Houston law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide comprehensive case support throughout all phases of active civil litigation. This position is ideal for an experienced paralegal who can independently manage a busy caseload, draft and coordinate discovery, maintain litigation deadlines, analyze case records, communicate with clients, and support attorneys through depositions, mediation, and trial preparation. Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Manage active litigation matters and maintain case deadlines from filing through resolution Draft and prepare discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, pleadings, notices, correspondence, and other litigation documents Coordinate and track discovery and document-production activities Review and summarize medical records, case documents, deposition testimony, and other evidence Prepare case chronologies, summaries, witness materials, and litigation binders Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, experts, witnesses, and trial logistics Assist attorneys with state and federal court filings Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Prepare exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, and other trial materials Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors Proactively monitor case status and anticipate upcoming attorney and case needs Qualifications 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment Experience independently managing active litigation matters and competing deadlines Strong discovery and legal-document drafting experience Knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court requirements Experience with electronic court filings Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management systems Preferred Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience Experience reviewing medical records and preparing medical or case chronologies Trial and deposition preparation experience Commercial or other complex civil litigation experience Paralegal degree or certificate Experience with e-discovery or document-management platforms Medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance Short- and long-term disability 401(k) Paid Time Off Paid holidays Professional growth opportunities This is a full-time, onsite direct-hire position with a growing Houston law firm offering the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of active litigation matters while working closely with an experienced legal team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
