We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to two attorneys.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Record and store client information on the Firm's encrypted cloud storage.
- Communicate with clients to develop cases, including preparing and coordinating discovery for attorney review
- Calendar deadlines
- Scheduling and coordinating with potential new clients, current clients, courts, mediators, and arbitrators
- Communicate with courts, mediators, and arbitrators in the context of developing the case
Qualifications:
- A very positive attitude
- A minimum of three years experience as a litigation paralegal is required
- A thorough understanding of the calendaring process
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
