Our organization’s Division of Nephrology is on the lookout for Transplant Nephrologists to become part of the Transplant Institute situated at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY. This role is primarily clinical, incorporating teaching duties and opportunities for research. Additionally, there is a chance for qualified individuals to take on a directorial role focused on strategic outreach. The Transplant Institute is recognized as one of the fastest expanding kidney transplant programs in the nation, serving both Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. Alongside a kidney transplant program with nationally acknowledged outcomes, we also offer a comprehensive heart, lung, and liver transplant program. The selected transplant nephrologist will collaborate with a team of four transplant nephrologists and over 20 general nephrologists, as well as participate in a well-established general nephrology fellowship program. Our division is renowned for its expertise in clinical research related to kidney transplantation, dialysis, anemia, hyperkalemia, outcomes research, COVID-related acute kidney injury, onconephrology, and glomerular diseases.

Applicants for the Faculty position should have completed a U.S.-based internal medicine residency, a general nephrology fellowship, and an advanced year in an AST-certified renal transplant fellowship. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional performance and scientific potential. Compensation: The full-time clinical base salary at our organization ranges from $125K to $750K. This range is influenced by various factors, including physician specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity.
