Payroll Analyst

Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll processing within the organization. You will support payroll operations by troubleshooting issues, assisting with escalations, and contributing to process improvements. Your work will directly impact organizational payroll integrity and support internal clients through your subject matter expertise and process optimization skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service, aligning successfully with the company's values of diversity and inclusion.

Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Overland Park, KS - Hybrid

Duration: 6+ months with highly possible extension / conversion

Pay range: $45 - $48 - Contract on W2

What's the Job?

• Manage payroll programs to ensure accurate payment and reporting

• Coordinate and execute payroll tax, garnishments, and general payroll operations to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness

• Lead and participate in payroll-related projects by coordinating timelines, facilitating meetings, and validating data through testing

• Develop and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency

• Collaborate with internal partners such as Legal, Accounting, and Human Resources to resolve payroll issues and support compliance

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent

• 4+ years of progressive payroll experience (preferred)

• Experience performing functions of HR, Payroll, reporting applications, and system integrations (preferred)

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to relay complex information effectively
