Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Charlotte, North Carolina. Pay and Schedule Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm with frequent overtime assigned on Saturdays with short notice Responsibilities Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered Pull orders accurately as assigned Stage orders according to carrier location and verify number of pallets picked as well as stage location Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation and retain product accountability throughout the logistical process Be aware of and follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Ability to input data into computer system Work overtime as assigned Benefits Paid training and support to take your next step Medical, dental, vision; 401(k) start at 30 days Paid time off 401(k) offers a company match High valued stock with 15% employee discount Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, hotels, electronics, appliances, cell phones, travel, and more Safety gear provided Caring leadership prioritizing safety – every shift, every role Focus on continuous improvement designed for success Equal Opportunity Employer Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug‑Free workplace.
