Job Description
- Analyze new and existing production orders, assign production jobs to workstations, and coordinate process operations
- Plan schedules, considering factors of inventory, capacity, labor, waste, and quality
- Assign start date/time and end date/time for production jobs and process operations
- Work with the Production Supervisor or Operations Manager to expedite and adjust work schedules
- Place and release orders for Outside Processing as needed using the ERP system- SAP preferred
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and maintain optimal order quantities, safety stock levels, inventory control, and cycle counts.
- Report on procurement obstacles and proposed solutions
- Expedite delivery of open orders, as dictated by customer demand
- Cycle count administration/analysis
- Partner with production leadership to optimize production performance
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- Three (3) or more years with materials planning or production scheduling experience
- Proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems; MRP/ERP systems- SAP preferred
- Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency
- Strong communication (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects in an efficient manner
