Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care MedSurg Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty with 1 travel assignment License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in MedSurg, ability to float to other units as needed Description: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty along with one travel assignment. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, potentially 1:6 for both day and night shifts. Shifts run from 7 PM to 7 AM with additional weekend and holiday requirements. The medical record system used is Meditech, experience preferred but not required. This practice will involve caring for patients in an acute care setting, including floating to other areas. Nurse aides are available to assist with patient care. General orientation lasts for one week, which includes training on the electronic medical records system. The position demands strong assessment and communication skills. Candidates must be adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. There is a strict mileage requirement for travel within a defined radius. Overall, candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment and commitment to patient care.
