Facilities Manager

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Travel: As Required
Schedule: Full-Time | 24/7 On-Call Availability Required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, construction projects, and facility operations across a multi-unit restaurant portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring all locations are safe, operational, well-maintained, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Facilities Manager will supervise maintenance personnel and outside contractors while working closely with Operations and Executive Leadership on repairs, renovations, new store openings, and capital projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of facilities management, commercial construction, restaurant facilities, or a closely related background and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations for multiple restaurant locations.
• Manage and coordinate repairs involving HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting, kitchen equipment, ice machines, generators, water systems, exhaust systems, landscaping, and general building maintenance.
• Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, alarm calls, and urgent facility needs.
• Coordinate and supervise internal maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
• Assign work, establish priorities, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Recruit, train, develop, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Order materials, equipment, and supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
• Obtain contractor bids and coordinate construction and renovation projects.
• Work with architects, contractors, construction supervisors, and vendors on new construction and remodel projects.
• Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership on new restaurant openings.
• Assist with equipment procurement, installation, inspections, and opening timelines.
• Participate in annual budgeting and assist with monitoring maintenance and capital expenditures.
• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, contractors, restaurant management, and leadership.
• Ensure all facilities meet company standards for safety, appearance, cleanliness, and functionality.
• Maintain familiarity with floor plans and building systems for all assigned locations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, projects, equipment, and vendor services.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to maintenance requests and facility-related concerns.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs when necessary.
• Maintain clean, safe, and professional building exteriors, entrances, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Facilities Manager, Facilities Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Construction Manager, or similar role in commercial construction, restaurant facilities, or a related environment.
• CPM and/or CPR/First Aid certification preferred; candidates willing to obtain required certifications will be considered.
• HVAC, electrical, and plumbing knowledge/certifications strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
• Ability to travel between locations and transport materials/equipment as needed.
• Must be available for 24/7 emergency/on-call support .
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical systems, and commercial facilities.
• Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, projects, and maintenance personnel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and remain standing/walking for extended periods.
• Spanish- speaking/conversational Spanish is a plus.
• College degree or vocational/technical training in a related field preferred.
