The Loan Officer will work directly with borrowers to guide them through the mortgage application process, explain loan products, and identify suitable financing options based on individual needs and qualifications. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include gathering and reviewing financial documentation, submitting applications for underwriting, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing. The role involves maintaining regular communication with clients, answering questions, providing status updates, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from pre‑qualification through closing. The Loan Officer will also stay informed about lending regulations, rates, and market trends to provide informed guidance and maintain compliance. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer, with a strong understanding of residential mortgage products and lending processes. Knowledge of Finance principles, including income analysis, credit assessment, and debt-to-income calculations. Familiarity with Underwriting standards and documentation requirements to support accurate and compliant loan approvals. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and manage client expectations. Proficiency in Loan Origination activities, including application intake, pipeline management, and use of loan origination systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast‑paced setting. Ability to work on‑site in Troy, MI, collaborating effectively with team members and support staff.
