SOUS CHEF

Position: Sous Chef I Company: Flik Hospitality Group Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 Job Summary Responsible for assisting with the overall success of the food program and overseeing culinary functions. Tasks include planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation while adhering to client culture, health regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation. Motivates, trains, develops, and directs back‑of‑house associates to meet operational objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in coordinating and executing food preparation and cooking of various items. Support menu planning and creation. Collaborate with marketing and culinary teams to launch new culinary programs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, including 1 year at a management level. Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations. Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, cost controls, and presentation. Ability to set up and distribute production sheets. Strong supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills. ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred. Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office products including Excel. Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
