Job Title: Operations Specialist (Level II)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28255
Pay Rate: $17.20/hour on W2, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Training will be fully onsite, then transition to hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Start Date: ASAP, pending onboarding completion
Contract Length: 5-months, with potential to extend or convert

Overview
This role is responsible for coordinating all documentation related to the settlement of bank loan trades across both primary and secondary markets.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with traders, sales teams, research analysts, counterparties, legal counsel (both internal and external), administrative agent banks, and various internal operations groups. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across multiple functions while contributing to process and technology improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing settlement timelines, and minimizing post-trade risk.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all documentation related to syndicated loan trade settlements in both primary and secondary markets
• Draft and confirm key loan documentation, including trade confirmations, assignment and acceptance agreements, and funding memos to ensure accurate settlements
• Provide comprehensive support across syndicated loan trading activities, including trade closing, research, sales, and account management support
• Partner effectively with Sales Associates, Traders, Research Analysts, trading counterparties, legal counsel, administrative agent banks, and internal operations teams
• Manage post-trade activities and logistics, including document negotiation and trade settlement pricing
• Conduct analysis and resolve operational issues, including breaks investigation and reconciliation
• Deliver high-quality client service while managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to process and technology enhancements to improve team efficiency and reduce risk

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred
• Proven experience in secondary loan trading operations, including a strong understanding of the ClearPar system
• Working knowledge of syndicated loan market documentation and basic credit agreements
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in numbers and calculations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all levels and diverse backgrounds
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of operational risk concepts
