While there are dedicated teams for specific tasks—such as punch press, Mazak laser, press brake, foam press, foam preparation, and material handling—employees in this role may be assigned to any area based on production requirements. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate fabrication equipment including punch press, Mazak laser, press brake, and foam press as assigned.Perform foam preparation tasks such as cutting, shaping, and applying adhesives.Handle raw materials and finished parts, including staging, loading/unloading, and kitting for downstream processes.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensional accuracy.Maintain proper documentation of production output and quality checks.Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and machine guarding procedures.Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.Qualifications & Requirements:Required:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metal fabrication preferredWillingness to cross-train and work in multiple fabrication areas as neededPreferred:1–3 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environment (HVAC experience a plus)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bend chartsFamiliarity with fabrication tools and measuring instrumentsForklift or material handling certification preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.Key Competencies:Attention to detail & precisionProblem-solving & troubleshootingTime management & efficiencyTeamwork & communicationReliability & strong work ethicFocus on safety guidelinesBenefits:Medical, vision, and dental plansShort-term and long-term disability insuranceGroup term life insurance coverageHSA, FSA, and Dependent Care plans available8 paid holidays, 4 floating holidays, and generous PTO policy401k matchingCompany paid eventsAnnual safety shoe allowanceEducation assistance programEEO Statement:Gradian is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
