Distribution Center Information Sheet Job Description: WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of loss prevention or security experience required Supervisory experience preferred

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree or greater in relevant field or equivalent years of related work experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to consistently apply sound judgment, and operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor and member of a team Ability to establish rapport and maintain harmonious working relationships Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thorough documentation and interface effectively with individuals at various levels Excellent organization and time management skills as well as an ability to pay strict attention to detail Strong technical knowledge of physical security systems and concepts Strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills Ability to hire, train and manage several hourly direct reports that work varying shifts 24 hours/day and 365 days per year Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform duties

ATTENDANCE:

Regular attendance required Ability to work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as necessary On call 24 hours a day

SOME DUTIES:

Execute shortage control and loss prevention programs as developed or directed by the Loss Prevention Manager Collaborate with DC Operations teams to enhance the protection of company assets Assist in the hiring, training and development of the DC Loss Prevention team Directly supervise DC Loss Prevention team members in assigned area of responsibility Directly supervise the Loss Prevention training process as developed by the Loss Prevention Manager and in accordance with company training standards Identify and recommend enhancements to existing programs and processes to mitigate loss Conduct internal and external investigations related to distribution center losses Promote and drive company safety initiatives Develop thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rules Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned Full time Equal Opportunity Employer Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Academy Sports + Outdoors
