American Portable Air & Power is one of the fastest growing private regional specialty rental companies in the Southeast, is offering an excellent opportunity for a Business Developement/ Sales Representative focusing on rental of portable air conditioners, Spot Coolers, dehumidifiers, generators, air scrubbers and similar climate control products. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is ambitious to grow the Central and West Florida markets through building solid customer relationships and servicing those customers with exceptional service.

Position Objective:

American Portable Air  & Power is a 24/7 climate control rental company. Main responsibility of the Business Development Representative will consist of acquiring new customer accounts and service those accounts by building personal customer relationships through drop in sales calls, sales appointments, trade shows, meetings with prospects and various marketing campaigns demonstrating professionalism and thorough knowledge of our products and services. Develops and maintains relationships with prospects and customers primarily in the Commercial market such as Hospitals, Healthcare Facilities, Schools, Facility Management, Municipalities, Mechanical Contractors, HVAC Contractors, Construction, Jobsite trailers and other commercial customers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Main coverage area is West Coast of Florida, Central Florida. Area covering Naples to Tampa to Orlando.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all sales
• • Overall Business Development. Daily Sales Calls to industry customers to build business and relationships. (10-12 calls daily) • Directly responsible for job site assessments, application solutions and plans, equipment sizing, proposal writing, quoting, problem resolution and follow-through.
• Entering customer calls and information into company CRM.
• Perform customer site walkthrough and quoting when necessary.
• Job Requirements Education and Requirements: 2 year college degree is preferred, although not required. • Prefer a Sales background in Rental Industry, HVAC Industry, industrial tools, service and equipment • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, competitive and results driven. • A technical sales professional who is relationship focused not transactional. • Clean driving record.

• • Conduct Cold Calls daily to customers to build relationships and acquire business throughout the South Florida region. • maintains a valid driver's license and excellent driving record free from points. • Maintains and tracks company tools and supplies. • Communicates professionally with customers and managers • Completes appropriate paperwork • Demonstrates a professional and courteous demeanor to customers. • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication. Takes accurate phone messages and has a clear, professional manner when speaking with customers.
