Qualifications:

• Valid ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
• Demonstrated competency in all general ultrasound procedures
• Ability to perform and evaluate vascular and other ultrasound studies
• Strong understanding of protocol adherence and quality assurance standards
• Effective communication skills, both independently and within team settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ultrasound examinations as directed by physicians to aid in diagnoses
• Ensure precise patient identification and order verification
• Adhere to exam protocols, reviewing images for clarity and accuracy
• Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with coding, reporting, and quality-control standards
• Educate and support patients while upholding exceptional infection control and sterile technique practices
• Instruct radiology students and fellow technologists in protocols and techniques
