Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU required License: California RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Neuro experience with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU Description: Locals accepted within a 50-mile travel requirement. It is important for locals to be aware that they will be accepted at a lower rate. Candidates must have a California RN License and certifications in hand to be considered. Weekend requirements are every other week. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Experience in charting systems, specifically Epic, is required. Candidates may need to float to other departments as needed. Preferred qualifications include previous charge experience and trauma level experience. Candidates should have skills in managing a variety of critical care scenarios. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including various therapy and medical teams. Patient diagnoses primarily include neuro and trauma-related conditions. The unit consists of 24 ICU beds distributed across two wings. An effective team dynamic in a fast-paced environment is essential. Candidates must be willing to meet compliance requirements prior to starting. Prior work history verification is necessary for all candidates. Modules will be required but are considered non-billable.
