About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Valid RN License, CA Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: Neuro experience, Charting system experience Description: Locals accepted with a 50-mile travel requirement. Must have a valid California RN license and certifications in hand to apply. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Patient ratios are 1:2. Epic experience is required. Candidates may float to other departments as needed. Charge experience is preferred. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 18 to 22 patients. The unit has 24 beds without differentiation of specific diagnoses. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Post-thrombectomy and trauma patients are common. The unit environment is fast-paced with a focus on teamwork. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory. References must be obtained within the past year. Holiday requests are limited, and only one holiday per contract can be requested. All candidates must maintain a valid work history verification for the last seven years. Modules are non-billable and are completed during orientation.
