The Opportunity We are staffing a high-priority engagement for a private credit client that requires end-to-end investment process review and AI implementation across sourcing, origination, and diligence workflows. This is a hands-on, high-visibility consulting role working directly alongside our Lead Strategist and AI Engineering team. The immediate engagement is a structured, phased program spanning approximately six months — from process discovery and workflow mapping through tooling assessment, AI solution design, and agile implementation. You will lead the discovery workstreams, conduct structured stakeholder interviews across front and back office teams, produce current-state workflow documentation, and serve as the operational bridge between what the client does today and what AI can unlock tomorrow. This role does not stop at one engagement. CrestPoint is actively expanding our client base across private credit and private equity, and we are building a team that grows with us. The right candidate will evolve into a core AI Implementation lead across multiple client engagements — one of the most valuable and rare professional profiles being built in financial services today. What You’ll Do Process Discovery & Workflow Documentation Lead structured stakeholder interviews across front office (sourcing, origination, deal execution) and back office (portfolio monitoring, reporting, operations) teams Develop a comprehensive picture of current-state workflows — people, processes, systems, handoffs, data flows, and pain points Translate discovery findings into detailed workflow maps and process documentation that serve as the foundation for AI solution design Surface quick-win opportunities for early implementation while the broader program runs in parallel AI Solution Design & Implementation Support Collaborate with the CrestPoint AI Engineering team to design specific AI solutions for high-priority workflow opportunities — document intelligence, memo drafting, deal screening, pipeline reporting, and more Develop and refine prompts and workflows using tools including BlueFlame AI, Claude, Microsoft CoPilot, and other emerging platforms Evaluate existing and candidate platforms and produce tooling recommendations grounded in operational reality Support agile implementation sprints, managing feedback loops with client stakeholders through to working solutions Client Engagement & Advisory Lead working sessions and facilitate ideation workshops with client teams including senior leadership, Partners, and MDs Translate complex AI concepts into clear, credible narratives for business audiences — speaking the language of private credit, not technology Prepare high-quality deliverables: process maps, opportunity matrices, implementation roadmaps, and executive presentations Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders through demonstrated domain fluency and delivery excellence What We’re Looking For Experience 5–10 years in a business analysis, operations, consulting, or strategy role within private credit, direct lending, private equity, or an adjacent financial services sector Hands-on familiarity with the private lending or private credit deal lifecycle — origination, pipeline management, credit underwriting, approval workflows, and closing Prior experience leading process mapping, requirements gathering, or workflow design engagements, ideally in a consulting or advisory capacity Exposure to deal management platforms such as DealCloud is a meaningful plus Experience with AI tools and prompt engineering, or a genuine eagerness to develop these skills rapidly with our team’s support Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication — you can write a crisp executive summary, lead a working session with senior stakeholders, and synthesize complexity into clear takeaways Strong process thinking: you naturally see workflows in structured terms, ask the right discovery questions, and know how to turn observations into prioritized recommendations Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage work — prototype thinking, iterative development, and client co-creation are central to how we operate The ability to hold a room and drive a meeting to outcomes, balanced with collaborative instincts Attributes Genuine passion for the intersection of AI and financial services — you see this as a career-defining moment, not just a job requirement A practitioner’s mindset: you want to build things, not just advise on them Professionalism and presence appropriate for engagement with senior executives at leading private markets firms Self-directed and accountable, able to manage multiple workstreams without close supervision Why CrestPoint The demand for professionals who combine credible private markets operating experience with hands-on AI implementation expertise is accelerating — and the supply is still very thin.
