Controller & Bookkeeper

Position Overview MuscleSport is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller / Bookkeeper to lead and scale the company’s accounting and financial operations. This role is critical in managing a high-volume, multi-channel ecommerce business with complex inventory flows and rapid transaction velocity. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Reporting Manage and perform all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close processes Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure accuracy in accordance with GAAP Process and Manage monthly payroll reconciliation Ecommerce & Channel Accounting Manage accounting across Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, and wholesale channels Reconcile platform payouts, fees, chargebacks, and reserves Maintain channel-level profitability reporting Inventory & COGS Management Oversee inventory accounting including raw materials and finished goods Ensure accurate COGS and inventory valuation Align financials with inventory systems such as Fishbowl – A Must / Requirement Manage landed cost allocation Bookkeeping & Transaction Management Perform & maintain accurate bookkeeping across all accounts Operate in high-volume transaction environments Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and processors Process Development & Optimization Build and refine accounting SOPs Improve workflows between accounting and operations Implement automation where possible Compliance & Controls Ensure books are tax filing ready with the assistance of and working in conjunction with outside accounting support Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 3-5+ years accounting experience Ecommerce accounting experience (Shopify, Amazon, TikTok) Strong inventory accounting knowledge Experience with QuickBooks or similar as well as inventory management software such as Fishbowl or comparable Ability to manage high-volume transactions Preferred Experience in supplements or CPG Strong analytical skills Key Skills Attention to detail Advanced Excel Multi-channel accounting expertise Strong communication skills Compensation & Benefits Full-time, 40-hour work week – Part time options available 401(k) with company match upon eligibility Health benefits Company gym access Employee discount on products Paid Time Off (PTO) #J-18808-Ljbffr MuscleSport Announces Maple Bacon Doughnut Limited
