Interim Controller (Remote)

Overview Remote Interim Controller - 3 months at 25-30 hours per week - $80/hour Hoxton Circle is partnering with a growing Environmental and Sustainability Advisory & SaaS solution to find an Interim Controller for a duration of 3 months at 25-30 hours per week. This is an opportunity to make an impact and grow an established company, but with a startup feel. They recently had a successful exit and this role will be a key player in the post-transaction integration. All the employees are smart and mission driven, but also very knowledgeable and well versed in business & finance. Details: $75-$80/hour 25 hours/week Can be remote - anywhere in the US Contract Dates: ASAP to end of November 2025 What you'll do : Ongoing: Help with accounting integration to new parent companies' systems/financials Daily: Review cash accounts, book all activity, research where necessary; Manage accounting inbox; Respond to internal and external queries and ad-hoc requests; AP – enter invoices, make payments; Create invoices for completed projects- send for internal review, send to clients, track status, follow up; Handle any notices that come in the mail, mainly related to taxes or payroll Monthly: Monthly close journal entries; Account reconciliations; Review financials for completeness/accuracy; Send Trial Balance with activity to parent company and review with the team; Quarterly invoicing- run time reports to send to Engagement Managers to create and track invoices; Revenue adjustment with new parent company Additional: Tax and audit Requirements : Need to be able to do anything and everything accounting for a small company Candidates need to commit to the full 3 months, working 25-30 hours a week and need to start as soon as possible Seniority level Director Employment type Contract Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Professional Services, Software Development, and Environmental Services #J-18808-Ljbffr Hoxton Circle
