Drywall Finisher

PeopleLink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a prominent client in Romulus, Michigan within the Modular Home Manufacturing industry.


Drywall Finisher Job Summary:

• Pay: $18.00 - $21.00/hour based on experience.

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday, with occasional overtime available on Fridays as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Apply drywall tape and smooth drywall compound on seams, corners, and angles in preparation for painting or wall covering.

• Sand drywall surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish.

• Mix and match textures to match pre-existing walls or to meet project specifications.

• Perform drywall touch-ups as needed to correct imperfections in wall surfaces.

• Install corner beads and inspect the quality of finish work to ensure it meets company standards.

• Coordinate with other trades and team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment, such as sanders and trowels.

• Follow quality standards and ensure finished product aligns with the company's craftsmanship expectations for modular home construction.

• Engage in other related duties and responsibilities as directed by management.

Drywall Finisher Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, and sanding.

• Experience working with modular homes or construction preferred.

• Familiarity with different drywall finishes and textures (smooth, knockdown, etc.).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Must have reliable transportation to the job site.

• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Must demonstrate and maintain a courteous and professional attitude.
