Job Title: Staff Accountant

Employment type: Temp to Hire

Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours/week) OR Part-Time (25 hours/week)

Job summary: Our client in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support their organization’s financial operations, including accounting, billing, and reporting functions. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity paying $60K per year. This schedule for this position could be part-time (25 hours/week) or full-time (35 hours/week).

Responsibilities:

• Billing: Prepares invoices using various reporting systems including eRSP and Sage Intacct for electronic distribution
• Receivables: Processes client payments, provides A/R reporting, and assists in A/R collections
• Procedures: Develops policies and procedures for billing for revenue-generating businesses
• Financials: Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Closing: Assists with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconciliation: Performs bank reconciliations and rectifies discrepancies
• Audit: Assists in the annual financial audit and other audits as required
• Budgeting: Assists in the annual budget and strategic planning as needed
• Support: Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
• 3–5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; macros a plus)
• Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct or QuickBooks preferred
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
