Lead brake press operator Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $27.00 to $29.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- Second Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 02:15am to 01:00am )
Set up and operate CNC and hydraulic press brake equipment to form and bend sheet metal according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
Select, install, and adjust proper tooling, dies, punches, and machine settings.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and other precision tools.
Lead and provide direction to press brake operators and assist with training less-experienced employees.
Monitor production quality, scrap, and productivity while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce setup time.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment, tooling, and work areas clean and organized.
Lead brake press operator Qualifications:
Previous experience setting up and operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of press brake tooling, bend allowances, angles, and machine setup.
Strong math and measurement skills. Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
Ability to work independently while providing leadership to a production team.
