Foreman-Level Electricians - Cedar Rapids, IA 52228
Start Time: 6am, M-F
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Commercial Foreman Electrician to lead electrical construction projects within the commercial sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on large-scale construction sites. Your expertise will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with all relevant codes and regulations. As a leader on-site, you will manage teams of electricians, coordinate with project managers, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety to drive project success from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to electrical crews
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate and install conduit and cable tray systems
- Organize and oversee large cable pulls
- Install switchgear, transformers, distribution panels, and electrical equipment
- Install fire alarm and control systems
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements
- Perform hands-on electrical work as needed
- Coordinate with Superintendents and other trades on site
Requirements
- Foreman-level electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with conduit installation, cable tray, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems
- Knowledge of electrical codes and jobsite safety practices
- Class A Iowa Electrical License preferred
- Per Diem offered to candidates who qualify
