Our organization is actively looking for Emergency Room Consultation Psychiatrists, both General and part-time or full-time, to join our team in Manhattan.

We are also in search of General Psychiatrists to be located in Oceanside, Long Island. The Psychiatry Department at our facility is a dynamic community of committed professionals who work collaboratively to uncover the causes of mental health issues and substance use disorders. For over three decades, our team of behavioral health specialists has provided care for individuals facing acute crises as well as those with ongoing mental health challenges. Our mission is to assist individuals in navigating personal tragedies, family and job-related stressors, medical conditions, and various mental health and substance use disorders.

Currently, we are seeking a full-time Emergency Room Consultation Psychiatrist. This role will involve providing care via telemedicine in our Emergency Room. Responsibilities include meeting with patients individually, assessing their symptoms and treatment plans, coordinating admissions or discharges as necessary, completing required documentation, and collaborating closely with the emergency room team, which includes physicians, social workers, and nursing staff. Additionally, this position will liaise with the Clinical Command Center to facilitate the transfer of psychiatric patients and enhance patient flow within the health system.

We are also looking for a Full-time Psychiatrist for our Emergency Psychiatry services at Mount Sinai Morningside/West. Both Mount Sinai Morningside and West have a rich history of excellence in healthcare, tailored to meet the needs of local communities while training outstanding academic physicians. Recently, Mount Sinai Morningside was recognized as a leading "Best Smart Hospital" by Newsweek, and our health system received accolades from the American Hospital Association for its commitment to advancing diversity, inclusion, and equity in patient care.

In this role, the physician will deliver direct care to patients in mental health crises, work alongside a multidisciplinary team, and provide consultations to the main emergency department. All locations serve as academic teaching sites, offering numerous opportunities for teaching and mentoring residents and medical students. Strong connections with Health Home care coordination are established, with innovative initiatives in place to link patients to community and crisis support services. Qualifications

• Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.
• Possess a valid NYS medical license.
• A minimum of one year of post-residency clinical experience in an acute care psychiatric environment is preferred.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills are essential.
• Must demonstrate a collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a team-oriented, performance-driven department are required.
• Qualifications for Assistant Professor or a higher level are necessary.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $225,000 and $320,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may fall closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, may exceed the listed range.
