Accounts Payable Analyst

This position is responsible for processing all payments and performing associated tasks related to Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Accounting and Analysis.

Responsibilities:

· Work with directors to validate time has been approved and is ready to proceed in processing payroll.

· Provide reporting and work with Human Resources to validate payroll has processed correctly.

· Issue paychecks.

· Provide Payroll reports and requested information to Executive Director of Finance/CFO/Finance Manager and all department directors. Maintain Overtime and FTE data to be submitted to the Finance Director monthly.

· Ensure all Payroll records and reports are maintained by facility, departmental, and system policy and procedures.

· Compile payroll data (hours worked, earnings, taxable withholdings) and complete proper filings and payments of federal and state taxes, appropriate journal entry into the general ledger.

· Receive and process all check requests and invoices for payment by facility, departmental, and system policy & procedures. Verify proper GL account coding, proper documentation, and appropriate approvals.

· Provide accurate and complete data for monthly Accounts Payable accruals to Accountant/Finance Manager/ Executive Director of Finance by designated deadline.

· Document and follow up on the outstanding AP and Payroll checks. Provide report to Accountant/Finance Manager/Executive Director of Finance monthly.

· Ensure all records and reports are maintained by facility, departmental, and system policy & procedures. Maintain AP files by policy & procedures.

· Complete filing and process payment of Sales Tax monthly. Maintain record of filings per policy & procedure.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

· Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred OR

· Experience: One to two years’ related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
