Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of specialty experience required License: RN License (state or compact) Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience with Antepartum, Fetal Monitoring, and High Risk patient populations - Ability to float as needed within scope of practice - Call and weekend availability required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum. This position involves providing care for postpartum patients who do not require ICU-level care. You will care for a high-risk patient population including antepartum patients and newborn patients who do not need NICU-level care. Responsibilities include administering medications and IV therapy, supporting breastfeeding, and managing postpartum care. Successful candidates will be proficient in charting with electronic medical record systems. Experience with magnesium drips, insulin drips, and PCA/PCEA pumps is preferred. You will maintain patient safety through adherence to protocols and guidelines. The typical patient ratios are 1:3 for couplets or up to 6 patients at a time. This position requires teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support. Ideal candidates should possess effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
