TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Mother Baby RN in Aurora, Colorado, 80045!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating; Option for nights only Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of specialty experience required License: RN License (state or compact) Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Fetal monitoring experience Description: RN in Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum. Various days of the week required for rotating shifts. Option for nights only available. First-time travelers accepted. Will float within scope to meet needs. Call required based on unit needs. Weekend coverage required based on unit needs. Ratios: Typical ratios are 1:3 couplets or up to 6 patients. Unit accepts postpartum patients who do not require ICU level of care. High-risk patient population included. Training to float to Labor & Delivery with fetal monitoring experience is required. Care includes newborn patients who do not require NICU level of care. Responsibilities include administration of various drips and support for breastfeeding. Special procedures supported include magnesium drips, insulin drips, and PCA pumps. Daily tasks involve discharge teaching to parents and assessment of postpartum recovery. Charting completed in an electronic health record system. Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals.
