Geotechnical Engineer / Office Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to lead an office location while managing a variety of geotechnical engineering projects across the public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial sectors. This individual will serve as both a technical leader and client-facing representative, overseeing projects from proposal development through final deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong geotechnical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to support business growth and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead office operations and support the growth of the local geotechnical practice.

• Prepare proposals and scopes of work for prospective projects.

• Manage geotechnical investigations and engineering projects from start to finish.

• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, technical letters, and project addendums.

• Perform geotechnical analyses and develop engineering recommendations.

• Coordinate field activities, laboratory testing, and project teams.

• Maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering and field staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.

• Experience preparing geotechnical reports and client proposals.

• Strong communication and project management skills.

• Previous leadership or office management experience is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
