Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Elgin, IL

This full-time, contract role is ideal for two Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) who are passionate about delivering hands-on support to learners from Pre-K through age 22. As an itinerant COTA, youll collaborate closely with educators and fellow therapists while adapting to the diverse environments found in elementary, middle, and high schools. Your ability to build rapport with both staff and students will shine as you rotate between campuses throughout the district, tailoring your approach to meet the individual needs of each student. With a daily schedule varying between 7 to 7.5 hours, this position provides a dynamic workweek, and the chance to impact young people during their most formative years. Desired Qualifications: Hold an active Illinois clinical license through the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Maintain an active Educator License with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Prior experience in school settings preferred Able to complete fingerprinting as part of the credentialing process Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across different campuses and age groups Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students (Pre-K to transition age, up to 22) Travel between multiple school sites within the district as assigned Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized plans Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to student progress reports Compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $46.00.
