Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred
• Familiarity with middle school-aged students and their developmental needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle caseload demands
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork capabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational needs within the educational framework
• Develop and execute therapy interventions and supports both in and out of the classroom
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide consultative services and resources to staff for effective student inclusion and accommodation
• Foster a positive, engaging, and safe therapeutic environment
