Our client is look for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support accurate payroll operations and employee benefits administration for a multi-location workforce in South Carolina. This role plays an important part in delivering a dependable employee experience by ensuring pay practices, benefit transactions, and records are managed with care and precision. The ideal candidate brings knowledge of payroll compliance, benefits coordination, and employee support in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer payroll for employees across multiple locations, ensuring each cycle is completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with company policies.

• Maintain payroll data by reviewing timekeeping details, tax withholdings, deductions, and other compensation-related records for completeness and accuracy.

• Coordinate day-to-day benefits administration for programs such as medical coverage, retirement plans, paid leave, and other employer-sponsored offerings.

• Guide employees through benefit enrollment activities, eligibility questions, plan changes, and important deadlines throughout the year.

• Update benefits records in response to qualifying life events and other status changes, making sure documentation is processed correctly and promptly.

• Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, deductions, benefit coverage, and plan participation with clear and thorough communication.

• Investigate payroll issues and benefits concerns, identify root causes, and work toward timely resolution of discrepancies.

• Prepare records and supporting documents needed for internal reviews, audits, and compliance reporting related to payroll and benefits.

• Monitor changes in payroll and benefits regulations and recommend process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline and 3+ years of Payroll experience

• OR 5+ years of experience handling payroll and employee benefits administration (without a degree).

• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform.

• Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices and applicable federal and state regulations.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize data and produce reports.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist employees and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

• Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy in detailed work.

• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to balance multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
