Estate and Probate Paralegal
CAROLINA LEGAL ASSOCIATES
We are looking for an Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal to join an established and highly respected boutique in Columbia. The firm focuses on complex wealth management, intricate trust planning, and comprehensive estate administration. They are seeking a career-minded paralegal who wants true file autonomy and a collaborative relationship with the attorneys.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare comprehensive estate planning suites, including wills, complex trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Manage the end-to-end estate administration process, from initial filings to final distributions.
- Serve as a professional and compassionate liaison between attorneys, clients, and court officials.
- Own the case management lifecycle—tracking deadlines, maintaining organized digital files, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Support attorneys in hearing preparation and the execution of legal documents, ensuring 100% compliance with South Carolina court requirements.
Who You Are:
- You have at least 1 year of dedicated experience handling South Carolina estate planning and/or probate administration.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office. Prior experience with Clio or similar cloud-based legal software is heavily preferred.
- High emotional intelligence, sharp attention to detail, absolute discretion, and the ability to drive files forward without micromanagement.
