Manager of Infection Prevention

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional to lead the hospital's infection prevention program. The manager will oversee infection-control activities, monitor infection trends, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and guide the infection prevention team to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Monitor and track infections acquired by patients in the hospital.
Investigate infection outbreaks and identify their causes.
Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures.
Ensure the hospital follows healthcare safety and regulatory standards.
Educate healthcare staff on proper infection-control practices.
Analyze infection data and recommend improvements.
Lead and support the infection prevention team.
Work with hospital departments to reduce infection risks and improve patient safety.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in healthcare.
Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required by the start date. Candidates with an active RN license from another state may apply but must obtain California licensure before starting.
Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification through CBIC is required.
