divh2Quality Assurance Inspector Inventory Control Clerk/h2pOur client, a Medical Devices/Healthcare company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector Inventory Control Clerk for their Stamford, CT/Hybrid location./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliThe work of the position will range from component inspection to inventory control activities, with the team member being responsible for accepting product through incoming shipments, inspecting, filing paperwork, and physically moving and shipping product when complete./liliWith direction from the Supervisor(s) work could be in either one of the areas during the course of a day./liliQuality Assurance Inspector (60% of role)/liliPerform inspection of components, subassemblies and finished product in accordance with released inspections plans./liliFollow written procedures utilized for inspection./liliComplete inspection paperwork on a computer in accordance with established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)./liliUse MS Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to open files and perform data entry tasks./liliGenerate Non-conformance Reports for submitted product found out of specification./liliPerform visual inspections using the unaided eye as well as a microscope./liliPerform physical inspections with basic inspection tools: caliper, micrometer, pin gages, gage blocks, etc./liliInteract with personnel from departments outside of the Quality Inspection department, i.e. Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering, etc./liliReceive incoming components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods./liliAccurately log and assign incoming inspection numbers to received materials./liliCreate labels for materials as they move through the inspection process (receiving, quarantine, accepted, rejected)./liliPhysically move inventory into receiving area, quarantine area, warehouse, and out to suppliers./liliUsing web-based software to create shipping documents./liliPhysically prepare items for shipping (boxes, pallets, etc)/liliUsing web portals, schedule pick-ups and deliveries of materials between various locations./liliCoordinate activities of outside suppliers in the accomplishment of sterilization related testing activities./liliAssist with requests related to inventory counts and fulfillment./li/ulh3Requirements:/h3ulliAbility to use simple hand-held measuring devices./liliAbility to read standard operating procedures and packaging configuration drawings; basic understanding of engineering drawings required./liliWorking knowledge of sampling techniques (e.g., ANSI Z1.4.), Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulatory standards required./liliExpected areas of competence for the inventory clerk role:/liliUse MS Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) to open files and perform data entry tasks./liliUse of web-based portals./liliAbility to lift up to 40lbs./liliComputer literate with intermediate familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat./liliStrong customer service orientation./liliStrong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to foster positive relationships with all internal and external (sales) personnel./liliResults oriented with the ability to accomplish work in a team environment./liliStrong attention to detail./liliDemonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to learn./liliAbility to work unsupervised on assigned tasks./liliDemonstrated analytical skills, especially in the areas of process improvement and problem solving./liliHigh school Diploma or GED required plus three to five years of experience as a Quality Inspector or as a manufacturing Operator or Assembler, or an equivalent combination of education and experience./liliExperience working in an inspection department for a GMP, or other regulated industry, is a plus./liliExperience in material handling a plus./li/ulh3Why Should You Apply?/h3ulliHealth Benefits/liliReferral Program/liliExcellent growth and advancement opportunities/li/ulpICONMA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
