Controls Project Manager - West Palm Beach, FL

Job Overview Trane Technologies is hiring for a Controls Project Manager. The Controls PM leads the project team through all facets and is the established point of contact for stakeholders. Working Hours Monday to Thursday onsite; Fridays remote. Responsibilities Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing internal and external communication plans with stakeholders to communicate project status. Review contract documents to identify risk and develop mitigation plans. Financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, and analysis of reporting to identify project deficiencies and provide guidance on corrective action. Prepare and facilitate monthly backlog review and reconcile applied cost. Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, and manage subcontractor execution. Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors to establish project tasks, schedule requirements, communications for project progress, and review of plans/specifications and control submittals. Manage change orders by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, and closing orders that may require assistance from sales team and estimating. Lead all aspects of project administration including knowledge and risk mitigation of construction contract content language, validate project scope/cost/schedule, manage project compliance, project documentation, project safety guidelines, and develop and maintain project schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management degree (a plus). Combination of degree or a minimum of 5years’ experience in HVAC/BAS Controls and Project Management. Experience leading teams with varied technical skill levels. Efficient at resource and manpower planning. Candidates without a 4‑year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with leadership principles are prioritized. Compensation & Benefits Annual Base Salary Range: $65,200.00 – $118,860.00 (Salary, Incentive Eligible: Yes, Sales Commission Eligible: No). The actual compensation will depend on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
