Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems. This role involves working with mixing machines, extruders, refrigeration units, proofers, conveyors, boilers, and silos. Tasks include replacing, rotating, inspecting, and changing parts of industrial machines, connecting power to machines, installing motors, rewiring motors, reading blueprints and schematics, moving machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies, welding on steel and aluminum material, running conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines, and fabricating using drill press and cutting out holes to make parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on automated equipment.

• Maintain and repair assembly equipment, including conveyors.

• Rebuild 3-phase motors.

• Connect power to machines and install motors.

• Rewire motors and read blueprints and schematics.

• Move machinery and equipment using hoists and dollies.

• Perform welding on steel and aluminum material.

• Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.

• Fabricate parts using drill press and other tools.

Essential Skills

• Experience replacing 3-phase motors on conveyors.

• Experience troubleshooting industrial machines.

• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including drives.

• Mechanical troubleshooting skills, including replacing motors, gears, and pumps.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience installing conduit and electrical wiring.

• Experience in food/beverage industry.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and hot, with temperatures inside the plant typically 10-20 degrees warmer than outside. The plant operates with big industrial ovens for baking, contributing to the heat. The maintenance team works in shifts, with four crews—two on days and two on nights—working four days during the week and one day every other weekend.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $69264.00 - $72384.00/yr.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for overtime. We currently have contractors who routinely work 60 hours per week. This is also a great company if you're looking for growth. Earlier this year we had one of our Maintenance Technicians that we placed get promoted to a Maintenance Supervisor - he received a $4 raise with the promotion. Aunt Millie's also offers excellent benefits when brought direct. They will get 2 weeks of PTO upon going direct (cannot take 2 weeks back to back). Point System, max is 7 points before termination.
