Our client is a recognized aviation, aerospace, airline, manufacturing, or MRO organizationsupporting aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, production, linemaintenance, and/or airworthiness operations. PositionTitle Sheet Metal / Structures Mechanic Job Overview Weare hiring a skilled Sheet Metal / Structures Mechanic to support commercialaircraft structural maintenance, repairs, modifications, and heavy checkactivities in an MRO environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-onexperience with aircraft structural repairs, drilling, riveting, layout work,and interpretation of SRM/engineering documents. Experience on Boeing 737and/or Boeing 777 aircraft is preferred. Job Responsibilities Performaircraft sheet metal and structural repairs, removals, installations,modifications, and fabrication tasks in accordance with approved data. Read andinterpret Structural Repair Manual (SRM), engineering drawings, blueprints,task cards, service bulletins, and customer work instructions. Layout, drill,countersink, ream, fit, install, and finish aircraft structural components andfasteners. Repair orreplace skins, doublers, brackets, frames, stringers, panels, doors, fairings,and other structural assemblies. Use precisionmeasuring tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and shop equipment safely andaccurately. Completerequired documentation and coordinate with Quality/Inspection for buyback andconformity requirements. Maintain FODprevention, tool control, housekeeping, and safe work practices around aircraftand shop areas.\ Requirements Minimum 3years of aircraft sheet metal, structures, or modification experiencepreferred. CommercialMRO, heavy maintenance, or aircraft modification experience strongly preferred. Experience onB737 and/or B777 aircraft preferred; other commercial transport-categoryaircraft experience may be considered. Ability toread SRM, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions inEnglish. Experiencewith layout, drilling, riveting, fastener installation/removal, corrosionrepair, and structural rework. A&Plicense preferred but not mandatory where client requirements allow. Must be ableto work at heights, in confined areas, and around aircraft in a productionenvironment. Must providetools as required by the client/tool listing. Market-competitivepay rates.
