Our client, a leader in livestock identification and packaging solutions, is seeking a dedicated Laser Operator 3rd shift to join their team. As a Laser Operator 3rd shift, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the manufacturing and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Laser Operator 3rd shift
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Pay Range: $16.50
Shift: Third shift, 8 hours per shift
What's the Job?
- Operate laser, inkjet, or E.I.D. marking stations to accurately mark livestock identification tags according to SOPs.
- Label and package products efficiently, ensuring all packaging is correct and available.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Train new employees through buddy system training to perform tasks at various levels below the qualified laser operator.
- Record downtime accurately and respond promptly to operational malfunctions to minimize production delays.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in operating a computer, including basic skills such as using a mouse and pulling files.
- Proficiency in basic math skills such as counting, handling numbers, addition, and subtraction.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to read, comprehend, and follow SOPs and instructions.
- Ability to maintain a required and acceptable daily output based on machine and job requirements.
