ShipperAs a Shipper, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and distribution process by categorizing freight, organizing and palletizing products, and collaborating with your team to ensure efficient deliveries. You will be responsible for ensuring that shipments are prepared accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and following company rules and safety guidelines.ResponsibilitiesFollow instructions from computers, paperwork, or supervisors to prepare shipments.Count and check items before shipping, and report any missing or damaged items.Pack boxes, apply labels, and ensure correct weights.Load trucks or containers manually.Use a computer to track product locations and manage shipments.Report broken equipment or issues to supervisors.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Complete daily reports and necessary paperwork.Assist with other tasks as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping and warehouse operations.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Proficiency with RF Scanners and inventory management.Skills in picking and loading materials.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in material handling.Why Work Here?Join a supportive team environment that values safety and efficiency, offering opportunities for professional growth within the logistics industry.Work EnvironmentThe role offers multiple shift options to suit your schedule: 1st shift from 6am – 2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm – 10:30pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm – 6:30am. The workplace prioritizes safety and cleanliness, and you will be using equipment such as RF scanners and computers to manage inventory and shipments.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holyoke, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.30 - $22.80/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
