Responsibilities

My client is seeking an organized Logistics Specialist II to join a close-knit, supportive 6-person team in Houston. You will take ownership of assigned manufacturing sites, managing daily domestic and cross-border freight movements.

Key Responsibilities

• Freight Execution: Coordinate domestic truckload (TL) carriers, road transport, and ocean/boat shipping.

• Order Management: Review daily pending orders across assigned sites to ensure on-time delivery.

• Customs & Compliance: Prepare customs paperwork, clear shipments, and file AES for US-Mexico freight.

• Operational Problem-Solving: Resolve dock loading issues, carrier delays, and documentation errors in real time.

• Systems Management: Execute planning and tracking within SAP and TMS systems (Oracle / E20 Open).

Requirements

• Systems: Proficiency in SAP and TMS (Oracle / E20 Open).

• Logistics: Direct experience with Truckload (TL) , ocean freight, and US-Mexico domestic/international shipping .

• Compliance: Proven track record with AES filing and custom paperwork.

• Traits: Proactive mindset, strong communication, high initiative, and 3+ years of experience preferred.
