Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Junior Maintenance Technicians for our York client.

Shift: 3rd Shift - 7:00pm - 7:00am, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and alternating Saturday's

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Junior Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience supporting production and mail operations equipment, including SIM Comail Lines, Mosca strappers, Domino inkjet units, Rima stackers, Label-Aire units, and ECS controllers. This position is critical to ensure smooth operation of all production machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Jumps & Clearances: Actively respond to floor calls to safely clear severe paper, or material jams within conveyor tracks, pockets, and feeder assemblies
• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform daily and weekly scheduled checks, including vacuuming dust debris, lubricating bearings, checking belt tension, and cleaning optical scanner lenses, cleaning inkjet printers
• Component Replacement: Assist in replacing high-wear parts such as belts, rollers, sorting bins, and sensor reflectors
• System Calibration: Help calibrate and test multi-position sorters, barcode scanners, static bars, and optical character recognition (OCR) camera arrays
• Diagnostic Assistance: Utilize basic multimeters and hand tools to help trace 24V DC control circuits, faulty switches, fuse, or failed motors
• Data Logging: Maintain accurate records of machine downtime, complete PM logs, and parts used via our excel spreadsheet
• Safety Compliance: Lock out and tag out (LOTO) machines prior to any physical interventions, following all safety requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. A certificate or degree in Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Systems is highly preferred
• 0–2 years of experience in facility maintenance, machine operations, or a hands-on mechanical field. Experience with sorting systems (e.g., NPI, Pitney Bowes, BlueCrest, or industrial recycling sorters) is a huge plus
• Technical Foundations: Ability to read basic mechanical blueprints or simple electrical schematics. Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and basic precision measurement devices
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be willing to operator machinery, work variable shifts, overtime, or weekends during our peak
