Application Analyst

Job TitleProgrammer/Analyst 2 – In this role, the successful candidate will design, develop, integrate and support applications for the Distributed applications on the Payment Processing team. Applications include Wire Transfer, Cash Vault, AA CBS, FraudGuard Payee and Purity Exception Review.The candidate will assist with analyzing, proposing, and developing technical solutions based upon user specifications, in adherence with Huntington standards. They will be required to work with analysts to understand requirements, help with design documents, test, debug, and help implement programs/processes. The candidate will be able to work technical assignments independently and frequently work with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with internal applications. They will show drive and interest in learning new systems, applications, and technologies, and show an understanding of the industry standards and practices and the knowledge of technical industry trends as they apply to Huntington. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will be good at multitasking. The candidate will work on application vulnerabilities and work to resolve them and update defect tickets. After hours on-call support at some point in the future.Basic Qualifications:Min 2 year of experience working in an IT environment providing production support for vendor applications with experience in installing, maintaining and managing multiple applications/systems.Bachelor’s DegreePreferred Qualifications:Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsKnowledge and/or experience in a Windows and/or UNIX environmentDatastage experience a plusSSIS experience a plusFoundational understanding of key infrastructure areas (networking, SAN, security, etc.)Understanding of job schedulers to create jobs including tasks and processesKnowledge/experience with version control practices and version control toolsGood understanding of IT system administration best practicesGood understanding of JVMsGood understanding of Oracle and SQL databases and writing queriesComfortable with at least one type of shell scripting (Power Shell, KSH, Bash, Perl, WLS, etc. Software Technology Inc
