Accounting Manager

Our client, a real estate services firm in Duluth, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants and oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of assets. The role combines hands‑on review of financial packages, cash flow activity, and bank reconciliations with day‑to‑day leadership, training, and scheduling of the accounting team. The Accounting Manager also partners with a Property Controller to ensure accurate, timely reporting and serves as a key point of contact for client requests and questions. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate accounting professional ready to step into a leadership role with broad exposure to budgeting, audits, and portfolio‑level financial oversight. Responsibilities: Train, supervise, and evaluate accountants, and oversee scheduling and staffing needs for the accounting team Review financial packages, general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet support schedules for a portfolio of assets Oversee cash management, distributions, contribution requests, and timely processing of critical payments Manage annual processes including 1099 filings, budget input, audit request coordination, and CAM/real estate tax escalation calculations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience CPA a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret business documents and respond to complex inquiries Proficiency in MS Excel required; Yardi experience a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr 6 Degrees Group
