Our client, a real estate services firm in Duluth, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants and oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of assets. The role combines hands-on review of financial packages, cash flow activity, and bank reconciliations with day-to-day leadership, training, and scheduling of the accounting team. The Accounting Manager also partners with a Property Controller to ensure accurate, timely reporting and serves as a key point of contact for client requests and questions. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate accounting professional ready to step into a leadership role with broad exposure to budgeting, audits, and portfolio-level financial oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Train, supervise, and evaluate accountants, and oversee scheduling and staffing needs for the accounting team
• Review financial packages, general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet support schedules for a portfolio of assets
• Oversee cash management, distributions, contribution requests, and timely processing of critical payments
• Manage annual processes including 1099 filings, budget input, audit request coordination, and CAM/real estate tax escalation calculations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience CPA a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret business documents and respond to complex inquiries
• Proficiency in MS Excel required; Yardi experience a plus
