Overview
Registered Nurse - ER travel assignment in Fortuna, California starts 09/21/2026 for weeks. Weekly pay: $2,157–$2,234 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12-hour days. This hospital setting requires an ER RN to work in an 8-bed unit with a daily census around 31 patients. Orientation is 12 hours, with a 06:30 start time. Travel may include floating to nearby facilities. Licensure must be a compact RN license in hand at submission. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP. Minimum ER experience: 1 year. COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown. Interdisciplinary support includes PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring across a patient mix from neonates to geriatrics
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor responses and adjust as needed
- Manage telemetry and vascular access; oversee IV lines and related patient safety considerations
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) to coordinate care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education

Requirements
- Current RN license; Compact license must be in hand at submission
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Minimum 1 year ER experience
- Ability to work in a hospital ED setting; comfortable with floating to nearby facilities if required
- Background: Facility does not accept Nursys or routine background hits; be prepared to provide 2 references (1 year within last 3 years)
- Pre-start modules and orientation: Completion of required modules (Workramp) prior to start; orientation time counted in assignment hours
