Medical Call Center Representative

Apex Systems is hiring a Medical Call Center Representative for a large Healthcare client.

Location: San Diego, California (On-site)

1-2 month contract with possibility to extend.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Medical Call Center Representative to work in a high-volume call center. This role involves handling incoming calls from members, booking appointments, and sending messages to clinic staff. The position requires the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high standards of performance for quality, productivity, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from parents in a pediatric specialty call center.
• Take messages, book appointments, and make outbound calls to schedule appointments.
• Work from waitlists and referral reports to manage patient scheduling.
• Complete and create messages, sending them to the appropriate provider via the electronic health record system.
• Perform other clinic clerk duties as needed to support the department.
• Utilize PC systems and follow guidelines from each medical department.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A demonstrated history of providing customer service and effective time management.

Technical Skills: Experience with phone systems, Microsoft Email, and Microsoft Teams. Ability to learn and implement new workflows and technology quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
• Experience with HealthConnect (EPIC) system.
