Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 37-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving primarily elderly patients with respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and neurological diagnoses, with potential overflow of orthopedic patients
• Function within a Care Delivery Model team structure consisting of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT caring for up to 9 patients; adapt to modified team configurations as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed
• Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, with an expected 4 weekend shifts per month

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience caring for elderly patient populations with complex, multi-system diagnoses
• Familiarity with team-based care delivery models
