Tax Manager

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join a growing and inspiring Accounting Firm in Ocala, FL. The ideal candidate will be an experienced tax professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent client communication skills, and a desire to mentor others while contributing to the firm’s continued success. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the Tax Department’s daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tax engagements. Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. Conduct tax research, planning, and projections for high-value clients and complex entities. Supervise, train, and mentor team members, fostering professional development and continuous learning. Maintain and enhance client relationships by providing exceptional service, proactive communication, and strategic tax guidance. Identify and present opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new business. Oversee billing and client invoicing, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Stay current with federal and state tax regulations and communicate updates to the team and clients. Participate in community and networking events to represent and promote the firm. Provide input on process improvements and contribute to firm-wide initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA license strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong technical expertise in tax compliance, planning, and research. Excellent leadership, communication, and client service skills. Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software (experience with multiple platforms is a plus). High level of initiative, professionalism, and adaptability. A positive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to contribute to the firm’s growth.
